Castor-oil plant
Castor-oil plant (Ricinus communis). It is a perennial plant from the tropical Africa,
which is cultivated as adornment annual plant in South Urals. The castor-oil plant has reddish digitipartite leaves,
ordinary flowers (right picture), and interesting fruit (left picture).

In South Urals, the plant can grow up to 1 meter and higher.
The frosts kill this plant, therefore, it lives until autumn.
Fruit is globular tricuspid fruitcase with barbs. Castor oil, applied in medicine, is produced from the toxic seeds of castor-oil plant.
