As to literature data, there are two wild-growing species of tulips in Russia (family Liliaceae), but there is no information for South Urals.
The cultivated kinds are well known and widespread. There is no garden without growing tulips. The tulip variety is striking: red, yellow, white, diversicolored;
classical and double-flowering; etc. The possible catalogue of tulips with pictures can make up more than a great volume.
In the Middle Ages, tulips were brought to Holland, and the Dutchmen were so fond of these flowers, that a bulb could be valued as a whole fortune.
